Fabric Book Mark

Hi there!

Today I came to show you my last project as GD at A Day For Daisies. Since the first time I saw this image, I knew I wanted to make a bookmark for my little flower, but she is still a bit young and anything made out of paper in her small hands, doesn't last very long. Therefore, after thinking a bit about this project, I decided to make a fabric bookmark, more resistant than paper and washable.

Hope you like it =)

In this project: Digital stamp "Book Time" from A day for Daisies.
For this project I transfered the image onto fabric using Mod Podge.
That is, I printed the stamp on a shet of paper, cut it out and covered the image with Mod Podge.
Then, placed the paper on top of a piece of cream fabric and let it out to dry for 24h.
Finally I gently removed the paper using a wet cloth and rubbing with my fingers.
When the fabric was dry, I was ready to start colouring.
Finally, after the colouring was done, I covered with Mod Podge again to make it water resistant.

Confidence is

Hi there!

Here I am back with my second card as GD for A Day For Daisies. I love the Aloha Beauties collection that includes this image, they are sensuality and confidence. Have to say that I was very happy with this card until just now I have been informed that the sentiment includes a typo (bit annoyed with hubby right now, because I it showed it to him and he didn't say anything... English is not my first language but his =])

Anyway, I still like it as it is =D

Image: Aloha Florals from A Day for Daisies coloured with Copic markers.

I did the background paper with drops of copic refills.
I'm sure you must have seen this technique plenty of times, in the picture below you can see the colours that I used.

Always & Forever

Hi there!

This month I have the great honor of being Guest Designer for A Day For Daises. I was very happy when they chose me, because I have been a big fan of their images for the moment I started card making. You can see here that some of my first post in this blog use ADFD images. Today I consider myself even more lucky, as I just found out that this may be their last challenge, at least for some time.

So, this is my card for their February challenge, with the theme "Love is in the Air/Anything Goes" using Mr. Right.

Hope you like it =)

Mum Loves Daisies with Skin Colouring Tutorial

Hi there!

It is challenge time at 613 Avenue Create. It is challenge #148 and our theme is always Anything Goes. This week I made a card for a mummy with two children. I love this image from A Day for Daisies. I also make a step by step colouring tutorial on how I coloured their skin.

Hope you like it =)

In this card: My Mom loves Daisies by A Day for Daisies. Patterned papers by DCWV.

Some months ago, someone in the A Day for Daisies FB group asked me to make a skin colouring tutorial.
I didn't had a chance to do this before, but I hope someone finds this useful.

For colouring this image, I started using E000 to map the areas where I want my shadows to be.

Then, I used E11 to colour the same areas

After I added E04 in the areas where I wanted shadows to be deeper.

I started blending the previous colours with E21.

Next, I coloured the rest of the image with E00 except the areas that I want to be lighter.
You can also start with this step, and then start adding the shades.

Last thing I finish colouring all my skin with E000.

And you can repeat all the process if you want the colours to be more intense.

In this image I added E02 for the blush.

I hope you like this and find it useful. Have a nice weekend.

A t-Shirt for Me!!

Hi there!

It is time for another challenge at 613 Avenue Create. This is challenge #74 and our twist is "Make something for yourself!". And you know that what I like most is to do things that I can use or wear ;). For this challenge I chose a stamps from A Day for Daisies, which I LOVE, but when choosing it I didn't realise that I if the Moon is out, it means that it's the night. So... I struggled a bit to get my project finished. However, I'm very happy with the result.

I hope you like it

Hola!

Espere que us agrade ;)
